Community Futures Fraser Fort George (CF FFG) is pleased to announce the launch of the Fraser Fort George Outreach Program, with funding from the Northern Development Initiative Trust Regional Business Liaison program and Western Economic Diversification COVID-19 contribution.
This 12 month program will reach out to businesses and non-profit organizations within the Fraser-Fort George region to uncover COVID-19 impacts on our small business landscapes.
The program will provide supports to businesses that will build resiliency into operations and plans in order to reinforce economic sustainability and help them flourish. To complete the work, three Regional Business Liaisons will be working on the ground in Prince George, Mackenzie, and the Robson Valley. They will be connecting with businesses and organizations and collect key insights by asking four broad questions:
Information and insights will help inform CF FFG and our partners as they plan future programming and supports for small businesses during and after the pandemic. To strengthen collaboration and capacity as CF FFG continues to move into different phases of the pandemic, these findings will be shared with community partners throughout the process, and showcased at a winter 2021 open forum.
“The funding from Northern Development Initiative Trust for the Regional Business Liaisons and support funding from Western Economic Diversification, will have significant positive impacts for businesses and non-profits in our region. These conversations that they will be facilitating will assist us in developing programming that will support our communities during the recovery phase and build resilient communities with a diversified economy.” says Susan Stearns, General Manager.
